Bruce Dewar is Chief Executive Officer of 2010 Legacies Now, a not-for-profit society committed to creating sustainable legacies as a result of hosting the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Before joining 2010 Legacies Now, Bruce was president of a Vancouver-based consulting firm that assists private companies and public agencies to develop and implement action plans, often as a response to times of great transformation. Bruce has undertaken strategic business planning for a wide range of clients and been involved with projects in over 12 countries during the last 20 years.
Bruce has been active in many community-based organizations including currently a director of the Whistler Centre for Sustainability. Bruce was chair of the Board of Directors for the Laurier Institute, chair of the Vancouver Coast and Mountains Tourism Region Association, on the Board of Directors for Tourism Vancouver and on the Board of Directors of The Vancouver Board of Trade. He holds a Masters of Science in Management of Technology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
