Frank won two silver medals (100 m & 200 m) at the Games of the XXV Olympiad in 1992 in Barcelona and at the Games of the XXVI Olympiad in 1996 in Atlanta; He was a finalist in the 200m in Athens in 2004; World Champion in 200 m in 1993 and runner-up in 1991, 1995 and 1997; World Champion in 200 m indoor in 1999; gold medallist at the World cup (1998) in the 200 m, gold medallist at the African Championships (1998) in 200 m, African Games (1991) in 100 m and 200 m and Commonwealth Games (1994 and 2002 in 200 m); world record holder 100 m and 200 m indoors and the African record holder in the 200 m.
He is a member of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Athletes’ Commission; African Athletics Confederation (AAC) Athletes’ Commission Chairman; Namibian NOC Athletes’ Commission Chairman and a Member of the NOC Executive Committee. For the IOC he is Member of the following Commissions: Evaluation for the Games of the XXX Olympiad in 2012 (2004-2005), Olympic Programme (2005-), Member (2004-2008) then Chairman (2008-) of the Athletes' Commission, Coordination for the Games of the XXX Olympiad in London in 2012 (2005-), and Coordination for the 1st Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in 2010 (2008-). |
